Here are some of my favorite ideas going on around the world, mainly in technology (AKA I just caught up on my technology source, Tech Cocktail).
Check them out and let me know in the comments which one you would totally use!
Location-Based Soundtracks @ StreetStories. Right now it’s only available in a certain town in London, but this has so much potential! Imagine cruising around LA listening to a mix of Weezer, Hollywood history stories, and the Beach Boys, all queued up for you. Or better yet, visiting a new place and getting a mini cultural tour. Sign me up.
Long-Distance Personal Shopper @ CakeStyle. This service is way, way out of my price range, but it’s good to have goals, right? I wonder if you can apply to be a personal stylist and do that virtually?
“Facebook” for Couples @ Couple Street. Just like the article says, “Facebook is for friends, LinkedIn for business relationships, and Couple St. supports the most important relationship of your life…” and that’s all I needed to hear. I absolutely LOVE this idea and JHubbs and I will be signing up later today!
Make Your Own Cereal @ Cerealize. Bacon Cheerios? Heck yes. Blueberry and bacon wheat flakes? Sincerely. (Noticing a trend?).
Customized Jeans @ Get wear. I just had to return my second pair of hopefuls at Zappos (DKNY has been doing me wrong, lately). So this looks awesome! I tried it out a little bit and I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I’d be. Still, such an awesome idea.
Facebook After Death @ Dead Social. Like the article says, it’s spooky. Yet practical. But I could only imagine the messages 15 yr/os will write to “that fake friend I hate right now,” only to never update it years later.
