Checking in on our progress as we move on to Dave Ramsey’s second step, to pay off all credit cards. Here’s where we started!
Welcome to embarrassment town, folks! When last we checked in, we had sold a lot of personal items and saved like crazy to get our first credit card balance down to $2103.95. But then life happens, right? So,we’ve backtracked a smidge.
July 25th ($2,405.84)*
We used the credit card for a hotel stay, a lot of Amazon purchases for the home, and clothing for me. We’ve since paid back $400 and returned about $200 in clothing, leaving us at $2,405. Do you still love us?
Do you backslide into debt a lot? How do you stay motivated to try all over again?
* PS The backslide refers just to this credit card. We have still been paying all of our bills and installment debts, and our emergency fund is intact. This habit of using the credit card just really dies hard!
