That’s it for today, guys. I was just wondering. It’s a random number that would take care of a lot of our random debt, and I got so fascinated with the possible avenues I just had to ask. Outside the realm of “inheriting,” or “finding” money….
Remember the Debt Free Super Power series? Let’s bring it back.
One thing I’m looking forward to when we are debt free is random, surprise vacations.
When you budget month-to-month (or two months to two months, etc), you’re always worried about your leftover funds. Which bills you might have forgotten, which savings accounts aren’t topped up, or who needs gas in their car.
But when we’re debt free, that monthly excess (after bills and savings goals are met, of course, because rich people still need budgets) could go right to a last-weekend-of-summer beach trip without guilt or worry about dropping a few hundred dollars on a trip.
If you were debt free and in the mood for a quick weekend vacation, where would you go?
I like posts that don’t offer a lot of excuses about debt. We used the credit card when we should have saved for it and not used the credit card. We used the credit card in emergencies, but then didn’t pay it off immediately. Whatever the reason, here we are, sitting in our debt, trying to stand up out of it.
The first debt we are going to pay off currently sits at $2,374.24. Ouch. Let’s get started.
