Fall has a couple things going against it. For starters, I had fall PTSD from teaching for quite a while (and if JHubbs gets too stressed out, it starts to affect me even today!).
And yet, despite all of these strikes (and more, I’m sure)… it’s still my most favorite season of all!
I live for cooler temperatures, warm fall colors, and root vegetables. And oh my gosh, hoodies (not that I wear them much anymore).
I love that everything and everyone seems to slow down and focus on preparing for the winter. It’s like we all share in this calm, laid-back-hustling attitude towards our “life” to do lists at the same time and we’re all checking through the list happily and speedily.
It’s an efficient, straightforward season without any of the stressors of the holidays.
And I think that’s part of what makes this the best season of all: it’s a free pass to reflect on what’s happened the whole year prior and think a little about what’s to come.
