Happy 9-month-iversary to me as a freelancer! To celebrate, here’s a look at my month so far in Google Searches. Let me know if we’re on the same wave-length!
T-Shirt Packaging Ideas
We got the Joshua Wake t-shirts last week, and we’re in love! (For sale here ;-)). I’ve since been obsessed with finding the most perfect (and cheap) packaging idea for selling them at races and events besides the traditional “stack o shirts” on a table. Ideas? I love this and this.
Wash Band T-Shirts Before Selling?
Unfortunately, these screen-printed shirts came doused in screen-print chemicals. We’re weighing the pros and cons of washing all 50 shirts at home (is that weird?) to prevent me from having to say “OH MY GOSH PLEASE WASH THESE BEFORE WEARING, THEY’RE POISONOUS” to all of our loved ones.
Do you think it would be weird to buy a t-shirt from a stranger that’s been washed in their home? For some reason that seems more awkward than selling poisonous t-shirts.
Penny Hoarder + Greesonbach
I wrote a piece for the personal finance blog Penny Hoarder and I’m excited for it to be posted soon! This was my way of checking to see if it’s live yet. The site is packed full of crazy-useful (and interesting) ideas for making more money, both online and offline, and mine will add to that awesomeness.
Share Access to Feedly?
This is a roundabout way of announcing Greesonbach Creative’s first intern: Josh Greesonbach! Haha… but really, Josh is being AWESOME and jumping on board to help grow our base of clients and make a name for himself in the blogging world (he already writes The Josh Greesonbach Show). Here’s a peek at our company lunch break:
This Google search was my first step in showing him how to brainstorm personal finance writing ideas by setting up an RSS reader like Feedly and reading and commenting within the community. Side note: you cannot share a Feedly account.
I am so, so lucky that Josh is excited about joining me with blogging, music, and writing stuff. I hope I won’t scare him away with my Type-A management style, which includes giving him way too many things to do at once and asking why they aren’t done yet. (Love you, babe!)
Creighton Method White Baby T Shirt
Josh and I joked about finding or making a t-shirt to promote the Creighton Method (a natural fertility planning program from the Pope Paul VI Institute), so…. we made one! I emailed with the Institute and the head doctor who created the program and we made these awesome t-shirts. They’re for sale on Josh’s blog for pre-order here and ten percent of each sale will go to the Pope Paul VI Institute.
The Creighton Method is an approach to fertility that involves a lot of commitment and honest talk about cervical mucus (I know, right?) but it’s a fantastic way to monitor, diagnose, and just generally get a more intimate understanding of your own fertility. If you’re dealing with hormone issues, infertility, PCOS, or any kind of lady-problem, I highly recommend you check it out!
Can You Drink Cloudy Chicken Broth?
Short answer: DON’T. I got violently ill after two teaspoon test-tastes of this homemade broth I made. I brought it to a boil (or something equally bad) and it was awful. Don’t drink cloudy homemade broth! (Also: I won’t be trying again for a while….).
