Write down how many years you have been working, and next to each year write down your approximate income. Pre-tax or post-tax, your choice.
A quarter of a million dollars. And we struggled to keep our emergency fund at 1K.

So, you don’t need to be a superhero or make an ungodly amount of money to maintain yourself. You just need to be disciplined. If, from the start, I had listened to my wise advisors and avoided that car loan and socked away that 10%… well, I’d have at least more than 1K.So I’ll work on that for now.
